About

As a Communication Studies master’s student in URI’s Harrington School of Communication, my research explores how Rhode Island newspapers cover sea level rise, focusing on the challenges local journalists face when reporting on climate risks/impacts and the thematic frames that shape this coverage. I'm especially interested in how complex climate science can be translated into clear, accessible narratives that reflect the lived experiences of diverse coastal communities and support public understanding, engagement, and action.

I work on the Public Engagement team at URI’s Graduate School of Oceanography, where I specialize in transforming complex ocean science into compelling stories that inform, engage, and inspire. I lead our digital communications efforts and collaborate closely with researchers, students, and staff across campus. I do my best work at the intersection of science and storytelling, building connections among people and institutions invested in our climate future.
